The short answer
ZumbaCards accepts New York players. New York enacted a ban on dual-currency sweepstakes casinos in December 2025, and most dual-currency operators left the state. ZumbaCards did not.
That is the operator's reading of the law, not a regulator's. It has not been tested, and the practical question is not whether you can open an account today — you can — but what happens to a balance if the position changes.
What the law says
The same single-currency argument applies: Surprise Coins are the only currency on the platform, so the operator's position is that the ban does not reach it.
What the operator does
ZumbaCards lists New York in its state picker and accepts registrations. Identity checks run through Veriff and require a physical photo ID.

What this means for you
- You must be 21 or older, or the local age of majority if it is higher.
- You need a physical government photo ID — Veriff rejects screenshots and expired documents.
- Only one verified account per person is permitted.
- Untested, and New York's gaming regulator has been active in this area. Treat continued access as provisional.
